The Scotia-Glenville Central School District’s Communications Department is dedicated to keeping students, families, staff, and community members informed, engaged, and connected with district news, achievements, and important announcements.

Through transparent, timely, and multi-format outreach, the Communications Office works closely with district leadership and school staff to highlight student achievements, facilitate community dialogue, and manage internal and external communications across all district channels.

Our Commitment to Communications

  • News & Storytelling: Sharing student achievements, staff recognition, and classroom success stories via the district website, local news outlets, and district publications.

  • Digital Media & Website Management: Maintaining and updating the official district website (district website) and social media platforms.

  • Family & Staff Messaging: Coordinating emergency notifications, school closings, and parent messaging via ParentSquare.

  • Board of Education Communications: Sharing plain-language summaries of Board meetings and policy/goal updates.

  • Media Relations: Serving as the central point of contact for news media inquiries, press releases, and public statements.

  • Document Accessibility: Ensuring web publications, PDF downloads, and district forms are accessible to all users or provided in alternative formats upon request.

  • District Website: Visit district website for daily announcements, event calendars, board agendas, and administrative directories.

Submitting Photos & Announcements

Do you have news, photos, or visual media highlighting student successes, special projects, or district activities? We encourage staff, parents, and community members to share them with the Communications Office so we can showcase them across our platforms.
